This policy describes how Cherine processes personal data of visitors and customers of its own website and service. For visitors of customer websites using Cherine, the customer's own policy applies first — Cherine acts there as a processor (see DPA).
1. Data collected
- Account data: information required to create and manage a user account.
- Payment data: information required to process transactions, which is handled by third-party payment providers.
- Usage data: information relating to use of the website and service, including technical data and audience measurement.
- Communication data: support exchanges and information submitted via contact forms.
2. Purposes and legal bases
Data is processed to enable the provision and operation of the service, management of the contractual relationship and associated obligations, as well as service improvement, security and audience measurement.
Where required, certain processing may rely on the user's consent or on the legitimate interest of Cherine or the Customer, in accordance with applicable regulations.
3. Retention
Data is retained for the duration strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, as well as to satisfy applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
Certain data may be retained for different periods depending on its nature, operational usefulness, and security, audit or evidence requirements, before being deleted or anonymised.
4. Sub-processors
Cherine may engage third-party providers for the operation, delivery and improvement of the Service, including in the areas of hosting, infrastructure, security, authentication and associated services.
These providers act as sub-processors within the meaning of the GDPR and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Any transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You may withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights: privacy@cherine.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
The Cherine website uses strictly necessary cookies (session, preferences) as well as analytics cookies subject to your consent. You can manage your preferences at any time via the dedicated banner.
